Karen, Shaun, Dom and I took a taxi from Lomé to Vogan to check out its colourful Friday market. There were more fetish stalls, fresh produce and brilliantly-coloured fabrics.
Lunch that day was stew with fufu (fermented cassava) which is pounded with an oversized mortar and pestle.
